Girls love to shop, and our girls at Esther’s House in Cambodia are no exception. For them, however, it is a rare treat.
They have come to us following violations in unthinkable ways while still in their youth. Helping them recover is a multi-step process, of course, but one fun thing we were able to provide for them is to let them choose their own new clothes and shoes. Each girl received jeans and shirts, and each was able to replace her cheap plastic flip flops with fancy leather tennis shoes like the kids in Western movies always wear!
This shopping trip was made possible by Harmony supporters who responded to our recent appeal for “New Clothes for EH Girls.” Your generosity allowed them to have lunch at a place serving food they love but rarely get—hot pot. Their excitement and pleasure were captured in many photos. Some of the girls show off their new clothes and shoes in the pictures.
