Emergency Need!

Pastor Din—talkin' but hardly walkin'.

by Charles A. Borchard

Imagine my surprise as I come into the office this week to read an email that has been waiting for me.  The email was from our recently appointed Vietnam Country Director, Pastor Jacob, and the subject line read, “Emergency!”

What I found out is that Pastor Din, who is Pastor Jacob’s assistant, has been suffering from injuries due to an accident he had over the weekend.  The village hospital in the mountains was unable to address his wounds, so Din was forced to travel down the mountainous terrain to Hanoi, which is several hours away… That could not have been a comfortable ride to endure while suffering a broken knee.

  Din's recently broken knee.

Din's recently broken knee.

This is a man who serves the Lord full-time and has a young family to provide for.  He and his wife have 4 children with another baby due to be born in just under 2 months.

Pastor Din cannot afford to support his family, and at a time such as this his family needs help.  From the looks of things, it will take over a month for his knee to be in any condition to do much of anything.

This is a crisis—Pastor Din’s needs are as follows: $300 for medical expenses, $200 to support his family while he is out of work and $250 for the delivery of his baby due in September.  That’s a total of $750 of support to properly care for this young man and his family.

We need your help to in caring for this young minister and his family!  If you feel led to donate, please email info@harmonyoutreach.org or call our office (951) 600-4474.
