New Cambodia Country Director
Harmony is pleased to announce CHIN PHEAKDEY is our new Cambodia country director. Pheakdey (nicknamed P.K.) accepted the position beginning April 1. He formerly served as our assistant country director and house parent for our Cambodia Boys’ Home. He has been an adjunct professor at two universities where he taught computer science, and he is currently completing a Master’s Degree in computer science at AEU University in Phnom Penh. Receiving Jesus as his Lord and Savior about a year after graduating from high school in 1998, P.K. credits his aunt for leading him to faith in Christ. Once he began to attend church, he learned about a loving and caring God he had never encountered before. He says, “I believe that God did not only call us to be Christians but also to serve Him with the gifts He has given us.” That conviction has led him to serve as a worship leader, a Bible teacher and an elder at his church.
P.K. and his wife Sinat are the parents of two boys—Johnny born in 2012 and Jackson in 2014. Sinat takes care of their boys, and their home has been involved with caring for and mentoring the college students at Harmony Boys’ Home.
Pheakdey felt for a long time a strong desire to serve in full-time ministry and therefore accepted with great enthusiasm the call to serve as Harmony Outreach’s Country Director for Cambodia.
