We praise God that 24 indigenous pastors and church leaders became the pioneer group to launch Harvest Bible College on March 3, 2013!
Four U.S. pastors flew to Phnom Penh and joined a U.S. missionary already there to teach these leaders who have had no formal training in the Scriptures. It was no small thing for these Khmer pastors to make such a commitment—or for HBC either! None of the students are paid pastors but must work to support themselves and their families. Therefore, a month’s worth of support for each had to be provided, as well as travel funds and even their food while they were in Phnom Penh for a month studying God’s Word.
Once again we found God to be faithful! He showed us that HBC is His plan, and He provided all the need for the first class! At the end of March those 24 church leaders will return to their villages to share with others the truths they have learned. A training center has been birthed where others will come and be trained, taking what they have learned to share with others—God’s plan for discipleship. PTL!
