Cambodia Trip Update

The picture above shows the California contingent of our recent Cambodia trip ready to board the bus to LAX. Five others from San Francisco and New York met us at our first stopover—Seoul, Korea—for this unforgettable trip. Some highlights included:

  • Conducting a VBS at Children of Hope orphanage in Phnom Penh
  • Participating in the first communion with a group of villagers in Prey Veng Province
  • Being part of an ordination service for three young Khmer pastors
  • Being involved in the filming of a video tribute to America by Khmer young people
  • Visits to the Killing Fields museum and the S-21 torture prison, exposing the great price paid by the Cambodian citizens during Pol Pot’s reign of terror in the late 1970’s
  • Visit to Siem Reap and the ruins of temples at Angkor Wat built in the 1300’s
  • Amazing worship with the young people from Water of Life, Holly’s House and Children of Hope
