Baptismals for the Tribes
When Brother Jacob first came on staff as Harmony’s Vietnam Country Director, there was one particular need that he identified: baptismals.
The problem was a good one to have. There are so many people coming to Christ and yet no where for them to be baptized. That’s almost like having the problem of too much money in your bank account!
What’s not so good is that public baptisms in rivers and lakes are not an option due to the extreme persecution of Christians in northern Vietnam. Jacob knew the people needed baptismals and that the people needed to be dunked without being seen.
We are proud to announce that three baptismals have been successfully built in different regions of northern Vietnam. This makes me reminisce on the words of Jesus,
“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.
And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
