$10,000 Needed For Little Lily’s Medical Costs.
Need Met PTL!
In October we brought a new child into Harmony House and named her Lily. Born January 10, 2012, she is now nearly a year old. After being abandoned and taken to a state orphanage, Lily was found to have congenital heart problems, including Endocardial Cushion Defect. She had her first surgery in the fall. When she was released from the hospital, she came directly to us at Harmony House on October 4.
Since that time she has been under constant medical care and has been hospitalized two more times—October 24-November 14, and again November 22-29. Surgery called a Bi-directional Glenn operation was performed. According to the Internet, it is a surgery in which a detour (shunt) is created from the aorta to the pulmonary artery. The surgery is performed on infants and young children who are born with a congenital heart defect that reduces the amount of oxygen-rich blood circulating throughout the body. After the surgery she developed fluid around the heart and in the lungs, causing shortness of breath and chest pain. She is also being treated for meningitis, and she is on an expensive medication obtained in the United States. A further surgery is likely to be needed.
To date her medical expenses have exceeded US$10,000. Please pray for this beautiful little girl. If you would like to help with her expenses, please go to our Donate page on our website to use PayPal, call us with credit card information or mail a check.
