fROM A LAND OF PLENTY

TO THE DARKEST PARTS OF THE WORLD

SO THAT THEY MIGHT KNOW HIM

It has been estimated that 90% of the global resources of Christendom are stored up in North America.  We have churches on every corner, Christian colleges and seminaries, Christian radio and TV, and access to countless excellent para-church ministries. Jesus said,

From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked."  (Luke 12:48)

In our world today, the vast majority of people who don’t know Christ are located in the part of the world located from 10 degrees north of the equator to 40 degrees north of the equator. Stretching from North Africa through the Middle East and into the Orient is the area known as the 10/40 Window. It is the window that most of the major non-Christian religions are centered, easily remembered by the acronym THUMB.

IN THE LAND OF DARKNESS

Over 70% of the Earth’s population lives in the 10/40 Window where 95% of the people are unevangelized. Because of the inherent difficulties of serving in this area, only approximately 8% of evangelical Christian missionaries are working in this area. Jesus said,

Land of Zublun and land of Naphtali, the Way of the Sea,
beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles—
the people living in darkness have seen a great light;
on those living in the land of the shadow ofdeath
a light has dawned. (Matt 4:15-16)

A LIGHT HAS DAWNED

We want to be faithful stewards who are cognizant of the situation of the world we are living in—bringing hope and help to those areas most in need of the light of the Gospel. We hope you will be inspired to get involved and make sure your life is making a difference beyond your immediate circle. You really can make a difference. We welcome you to join us on the battlefield.

We Spread the Knowledge of Jesus by training underground pastors, planting house churches amongst unreached tribal people groups, and our J-Club outreach to university students in Vietnam—by evangelizing Muslims and building churches in Africa—and through outreach to Buddhist-background university students in Cambodia.

We Help the Vulnerable by helping orphans, providing clean water wells to tribal villages, by providing surgeries for the poor who cannot help themselves, giving scholarships so young people can attend university, building houses and by joining the fight against sex-exploitation of young girls.
