Step One: Foster Care

Maggie BrownStep One of our Three Steps to Hope program is fostering. Some children come into our care from their custody orphanage, entrusting us with the mitigation of these precious children’s medical needs. Some children have also come into our care in a variety of unique ways:  left at our doorstep, brought by local police who know we can help or even brought by local villagers who know we care. Other children in our sponsorship program are fostered by partner organizations that may have the expertise that the children need, such as a deaf school or a home specifically equipped and familiar with orthopedic special needs.

As part of our child sponsorship program, you can provide food, shelter, clothing and the loving nurture that these children so desperately need.

What Is Child Sponsorship

Child sponsorship is a monthly commitment of $40 in which you can choose a child to sponsor and provide much-needed clothing, shelter, food and nurture as the child progresses through our Three Steps to Hope program.

Once you have signed on as a sponsor, you will receive a bio about your child and will also receive periodic updates on their progress.  After your child ‘graduates’ and is adopted, you will be assigned another child. In this way for less than a cup of coffee each day, you will be responsible for changing life after life for China’s orphaned and special needs children.  Sponsorship is tax-deductible to U.S. citizens.

I Want to Sponsor a Child

You can sponsor children in our direct care at Harmony House as well as those in the care of our partners.
