Mary

Chinese Name: Yao Guihua
Gender: Female
Date of Birth: February 24, 2009
Special Needs: Spina Bifida. Surgery completed in July, 2009.
Mary came to us from the Zhengzhou Orphanage in Henan Province and arrived at Harmony House April 1, 2009. She had been abandoned when she was only seven days old. We don’t know why she was abandoned, but it could be because she had Spina Bifida or because she is female. She was tiny and emaciated due to lack of good nutrition when she came to us.
She is just a tot but she is really cute. She pays attention when you talk to her and looks into your eyes when being feed. You can see from her picture how she is thriving now that she is receiving good food and loving care at Harmony House. Mary is not demanding and is content to now be walking and playing with the other children. She is patient at mealtimes, quietly awaiting her turn to be fed. Yet she is also very observant and misses little that is happening around her, watching to see that any child who might fall or get bumped has the care needed from the nannies.
We have learned Mary may have been matched to her Forever Family!
